Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-22
This is a template pending legal review. It is provided for general informational purposes and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before being relied upon.
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of API Sathi (the “Service”), operated by Pravaha Infinity Private Limited (“Pravaha”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, having GSTIN 08AARCP0679E1Z1 and its registered office in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. By creating an account, generating an API key, or otherwise using the Service, you (the “Customer”, “you” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. Nature of the Service
API Sathi is an API aggregator and reseller. We expose a single, normalized public API for each product (for example, PAN verification, GSTIN lookup, bank-account verification) and fulfil each call by routing it to one of several upstream third-party providers (“Upstream Providers”). We act as a reseller and intermediary; we do not originate the underlying verification data. The availability, accuracy and completeness of results depend on the relevant Upstream Provider and on the source systems they query. We do not warrant that any result is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
You must provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and keep it updated. You must be capable of forming a binding contract under applicable Indian law. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We may require KYC and business-verification information (such as PAN and GSTIN) before enabling certain products or live access.
3. API Key Security
API keys are credentials that authenticate calls and authorise charges against your prepaid wallet. You are solely responsible for keeping your API keys confidential and secure. Do not embed live keys in client-side code, public repositories, or shared environments. Any call made with your key is deemed authorised by you and is billable. If a key is compromised, you must revoke it immediately from your dashboard; you remain responsible for usage incurred before revocation.
4. Prepaid Wallet and Billing
The Service operates on a prepaid model. You recharge a wallet (inclusive of applicable GST) and the Service bills you on a per-call basis at the then-prevailing sale price for each product. For each call we place an atomic hold on your wallet for the sale price; on a successful call the hold is captured (you are charged), and on a vendor failure or timeout the hold is released (you are not charged). Balances are denominated in Indian Rupees. Prices may change; the applicable price is the one in effect at the time of the call.
5. Refunds
Charges for successfully consumed API calls are final and non-refundable. Failed calls (vendor errors or timeouts) are never charged. Unused wallet balance may be eligible for refund subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Charges for calls that fail solely due to invalid input you supplied may be billable on a per-product basis, as disclosed for that product.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law, including data protection, KYC/AML, telecom (DLT/TRAI) and privacy laws; (b) verify or process the personal data of any individual without a lawful basis and the consent required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; (c) build profiles, surveil, harass or discriminate against individuals unlawfully; (d) attempt to gain unauthorised access to, probe, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; (e) resell or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted; or (f) exceed or circumvent rate limits. You are responsible for obtaining all consents and authorisations required from the individuals whose data you submit for verification.
7. Rate Limits
Each API key is subject to per-second and per-minute rate limits and may have IP allowlists. Calls exceeding limits will receive an HTTP 429 response. We may adjust limits to protect the integrity and availability of the Service.
8. Service Levels and Disclaimer
Any latency or availability figures published on the Service are indicative targets, not guarantees, unless a separate written service-level agreement has been signed. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor the accuracy of any verification result returned by an Upstream Provider.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Pravaha be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to us for the Service in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your usage poses a security or legal risk, or as required by an Upstream Provider or by law. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, unused wallet balance is handled per the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, documentation, normalized API contracts and brand, is owned by Pravaha and its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to applicable arbitration or alternative dispute-resolution mechanisms agreed in writing.
